Having a secret room may not be something you’ve ever really thought about before, or perhaps it’s something you’ve dreamt about since you saw your first action movie. Hidden rooms can be used to conceal a variety of spaces or facilities and can be used for a number of different reasons.
Though hidden doors and rooms are nothing new, we have worked on a number of these hidden room projects recently and predict that they will continue to grow in popularity. This is likely due to modern advances in architecture, ironmongery and electrics, which make it possible for many to add a secret space to their home.
That’s why at Solid Carpentry, we are going to be focusing more of our efforts on our ‘secret room’ service this year and we are really excited about the prospective projects this could bring.
Now could be the perfect time
With so many of us at home right now, whether you are working or not, now could be the ideal time to create a secret passage in your house. You might wish to create a cosy snug or recreational space where you can relax and unwind in the evenings. Alternatively, you might be looking to build a home office which can be tucked away and free from any distractions. Especially with so many people set to be working from home for the foreseeable future.
We are of course aware of the important social distancing measures that are currently in place. In fact, we understand that it might seem quite a daunting prospect letting someone new into your home right now.
At Solid Carpentry we are 100% committed to following government guidelines and will be taking extra precautions to keep both our team and our customers safe. We will ensure a minimum of 2 metres distance between any members of staff and our clients at all times, so you can have total peace of mind when inviting us into your property.
