If you’ve chosen to have some sliding doors bespoke fitted wardrobes installed in your home, you want to make sure you get the right finish by choosing the perfect doors. There are a number of options available to you depending on your style and needs.
In this post we’ll discuss sliding doors in particular, looking at the benefits of choosing this style for your home. To do this we’ll cover details of a recent sliding doors project we completed for one of your clients. Read on to find out why sliding doors could be the perfect solution for you.
Our latest project
Recently we worked with a client on a beautiful sliding doors project for their home. Originally they had put in a series of shelves to create space to store their large book collection. While this was a practical solution they also decided that they wanted to use sliding doors to hide these away and create a secret bookcase, and tidy finish.
From the images you can see that they chose to have a cork finish on the left sliding door. They also chose to have recessed door handles which sit flush with the door. This adds to the neat and tucked away style of the bookcase, with no large handles sticking out.
The benefits of choosing bespoke sliding doors
If you’re considering choosing sliding doors for your alcove, bespoke fitted wardrobes, custom units or built in cupboards, we’re here to help you make the right choice. Below are just some of the benefits of choosing custom sliding doors for your home.
1. Save space
If you’ve got a smaller room, it can be a real inconvenience having standard doors that open out into the space. This can also restrict the furniture you decide to choose for your room as you need space to be able to open the doors. By choosing sliding doors you can resolve the issue and save yourself space, whether that’s the main interior door or those on your wardrobe and cupboards.
2. Get the right fit
If you’ve chosen to have bespoke fitted sliding wardrobe or you want to add wardrobe doors to an alcove to hide storage behind it, then you need doors that fit. While there are a number of store-bought options available, you might not be able to get a good fit from these pre-made items. Instead it’s best to have something custom built so you know you’ll get the perfect fit storage solution.
3. Choose the perfect style
On a similar note, having doors custom designed for you means you can choose the finish you want. Again, opting for store-bought doors could limit your options. Working with carpenters on a bespoke sliding door system means you’re guaranteed to get the right look for your home.
